Greeting Cards Any art studio is replete with random pieces of paper that deserve a second chance. Lately I've been turning these bits of ephemera into greeting cards - sometimes adding stamped ink words or phrases. Each unique card is just $4 - buy a set of five for $20 including shipping.

Print Exchanges
are a way for artists to focus on a deadline, pull an edition and send
them off to the exchange's administrator. A few weeks later a package
comes in the mail with a mixture of prints. For example, if a themed
exchange centers on the Year of the Dog the artist generates an editon
of 15 prints with a canine as the main subject. Off they go to the
organizer and back comes 13 different prints by different artists with
different ideas about the theme. Usually the organizer keeps a copy of
the print and the other is auctioned off or exhibited.

Screenplay
Silkscreens, or serigraphs, are yet another printmaking process to
explore. Beth and I have been creating some very fun images that we
silkscreen onto new and previously owned shirts. The designs are
original, the color combinations are unpredictable so each shirt is
unique. We sell the shirts at a number of craft shows, Open Studios
events and at Susan Russell's Mountain Bookstore in Sonora, California.

Holga Photos
Years ago I stumbled across Holgas - cheap, plastic and made in China
these toy cameras are notorious for light leaks, streaks and vignettes.
Instantly recognizeable photos are square format, intermittently in
focus and unpredictable.
